“ The oldest Inn in America, rustic, cozy with loads of charm, just what youd expect in a 1700s Tavern. Food was great. We didnt have reservations and it was quite crowded, but they were able to seat us in their Pewter Room, a small room off the Tavern with lots of pewter decor. Id like to go back mid week for lunch and sit at the bar. ”
“ We stopped in late afternoon for a drink and a snack. The bartender was very sweet and chatted with us for quite some time. Our cocktails were perfect and the bar beautiful. We, along with a few other people at the bar, asked for a menu. NO FOOD AVAILABLE until dinner. A small bar menu would be a great idea. We were very disappointed. We left to get a late lunch! ”
“ We had the braised lamb shank and the stuffed shrimp. It was one of those meals where every bite we took was just as a amazing as the last. The seasoning, temperature, texture and presentation were all top marks. For desert... The chocolate banana bread pudding, Dont miss it regardless of how full you are. I cent remember the last time I had a better meal. The service was very good. Attentive and quick. This place gets top marks from me. ”
“ So historic. There are a couple of dark low ceiling rooms you can eat in to get the full historic atmosphere or you can sit out on the glass and closed veranda. Either way the beer and food was delicious. The wait staff was very good, and its tough to get wait staff in this day and age... ”
“ We went there for the Mothers Day Brunch. Now, were curious about its history. Delicious food! Great service! Parking in the back. ”
“ Had lunch at Beekman with family. Started out in sunroom, but it was too sunny so we went to dining room. My husband, mother in law and I had the hamburger with fries, cousin salmon, sister salad. Everything was good and cooked to order. Waiter was very friendly and patient because we took awhile to order. A bit expensive but very nice atmosphere. We havent been there for over twenty years, but we would probably go back. ”
“ For a restaurant that can attract patrons because of its long history, the food was surprisingly good. I had the French Onion Soup and Chicken Parmigiano. Absolutely no complaints. Both were outstanding. I definitely will come back. If you are looking for a taste of history with a little spice, make sure to visit the Beekman Arms. You will be happy and, more importantly, so will your stomach. ”
